The Class 40 allows the creation of highly performing and low cost projects. It's forbidden the use of aramid fibers and carbon, honeycomb cores, prepreg fiber for hull construction.

There are only granted carbon fiber for the realization of the drift, rudders and mast with boom and bowsprit. So doing the production costs fall very low so as to allow easy access to Class 40 boats.

Our Class 40 is designed to joining a racer use with a comfortable cruiser use.

This is the ACYD 40 slogan: " Fast in race, comfortable in cruising, amazing in day trips."

There are two different versions of this boat, the cruise version differs in some details like the steering wheel instead of double bars, a reduction of sail plan and greater care in the interior, the interiors have eight bunks for both versions. The race version has only one bathroom that becomes double in cruise setting.
